Missions At Fellowship

Missions is central at Fellowship Baptist Church. It is our goal to be Biblical in our missions ministry. We must never allow ourselves to be negligent and relegate our responsibility of missions administration to those outside of our local church, including mission agencies. Only when the local church is intimately involved in world wide missions will there be an adequate burden to provide the necessary resources -- personnel and finances -- to fulfill the great commission.

Our missions policy represents the collective thinking, praying, evaluating and labor of many people who were seeking God's direction. Since implementing a Biblical, local church oriented practice of missions, God has blessed our church in many ways. There has been a new attitude toward and interest in missions. No longer is missions solely the ministry of the pastor, but it is the ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church. Other churches have used our missions policy as the pattern for establishing their policy and at least one seminary professor uses our policy as the model he presents to those men preparing for the ministry.  If you would like a copy of our missions policy, please send an email note to our Pastor, M. Lee Taylor. He will be glad to send the policy to you either through email, or by way of the post office.

We also support a missionary family where there is severe regulation of and persecution of Christians. To prevent making things difficult for  them, or even endangering them or the people to whom they minister, we do not include their names here.
